The Bachelorette Will Be The First Major Network Show To Start Filming Again Amid The Pandemic! Details HERE!

Reality TV is back, baby!

The Bachelorette will officially be the first major network show to begin filming again in the United States following the coronavirus pandemic. Never mind the fact that the pandemic hasn’t actually, uhhhh, slowed down at all or anything. But TV is back!

Variety was the first outlet to report the news on Friday, confirming that although no official start date has been set yet, the show is already putting together “heavy-duty safety precautions” for everyone involved. Leading lady Clare Crawley, the rest of the cast, and the crew have apparently all been notified that they’ll be heading off to set “very soon,” as well.

It’s still unclear exactly where they will film; according to the news outlet, the quarantined filming location will be somewhere in southern California, though it will apparently not be in Los Angeles County. Production is reportedly going “above and beyond” to ensure that no visitors or press are allowed on site during filming, in a bid to maintain a safe space without risk of further spreading the pandemic. Cast and crew will undergo quarantine procedures for a time before filming begins, too.

All this leaves us to wonder exactly where they might be filming if not in Los Angeles County… Santa Barbara? Orange County? Palm Springs? BAKERSFIELD?! OK, just kidding about that last one (we think), but, uhhhh, all these safety precautions really make it clear that they’re not playing around at all, are they?!

This will also mark the first Bachelorette season in history where the leading lady is able to research her suitors ahead of time, and Crawley has done just that. As you’ll recall, her cast was announced in early March right before the initial coronavirus shut down, so the 39-year-old has had nothing but time to look up her guys and see who might be a good fit on paper. That should definitely make for an interesting dynamic when this whole thing comes to life on air, won’t it?!

What do U think, Perezcious readers?? Will U be watching The Bachelorette when it airs on Tuesdays this fall, on ABC??

And more to the point with filming starting up again soon… think they’ll make it through filming without anybody getting sick, or is this a disaster-in-waiting??
