New Look At Jared Leto’s Joker Double In ‘Birds Of Prey’ Revealed

Suicide Squad Jared Leto Joker Margot Robbie Harley Quinn Birds of Prey

Suicide Squad Jared Leto Joker Margot Robbie Harley Quinn Birds of PreyAn even better look at the body double for Jared Leto’s Joker seen in Birds of Prey has surfaced in a new behind-the-scenes image.

In Birds of Prey, the film begins with Harley Quinn leaving the Joker. Jared Leto’s version of the Joker in Suicide Squad wasn’t the best portrayal of the character and it seems like the actor has severed ties with the role. Since then, we have already gotten another version of the Joker with Joaquin Phoenix, which won him an Oscar earlier this month.

Because Jared Leto has moved on from the Joker role, he did not play the Clown Prince of Crime in Birds of Prey. However, set photos from long ago revealed that a body double resembling Jared Leto’s Joker would be appearing in the film. While the Jared Leto Joker body double is obscured in Birds of Prey, a new behind-the-scenes image from Reddit offers out best look yet:

In the photo, you can see that Jared Leto’s Joker body double is not sporting the infamous “Damaged” tattoo. Either the tattoo wasn’t put on yet at the time of the photo, or they didn’t even do it because of the angles they were shooting the Joker double from and deemed it unnecessary. Here is the official synopsis for Birds of Prey:

“You ever hear the one about the cop, the songbird, the psycho and the mafia princess? Birds of Prey (And the Fantabulous Emancipation of One Harley Quinn) is a twisted tale told by Harley herself, as only Harley can tell it. When Gotham’s most nefariously narcissistic villain, Roman Sionis, and his zealous right-hand, Zsasz, put a target on a young girl named Cass, the city is turned upside down looking for her. Harley, Huntress, Black Canary and Renee Montoya’s paths collide, and the unlikely foursome have no choice but to team up to take Roman down.”

Directed by Cathy Yan from a script penned by Bumblebee writer Christina Hodson, Birds of Prey stars Mary Elizabeth Winstead as Huntress, Jurnee Smollett-Bell as Black Canary, Ella Jay Basco as Cassandra Cain, Rosie Perez as Renee Montoya, Chris Messina as Victor Zsasz, Ewan McGregor as Black Mask, and Margot Robbie as Harley Quinn.

Birds of Prey is now playing in theaters!
