‘The Flash’ Comic Book Pays Homage To Ezra Miller’s ‘Justice League’ Suit
The Flash #752 recently paid homage to Ezra Miller’s superhero suit from 2017’s Justice League.
Ezra Miller made his as The Flash in 2016’s Batman v Superman with a short cameo as Barry Allen before fully unleashing himself upon the world in Justice League. The Flash suit in the ensemble film was distinctive for its armor-plated design, as opposed to the teflon-based look that has become synonymous with the character in the comics. With Justice League on everyone’s mind, The Flash comics have started taking a cue from Ezra Miller’s rendition of the character.
In the latest issue of The Flash, #752, Barry Allen creates a make-shift version of the suit found in Justice League. After Barry and Paradox duked it out, the speedster found himself in Speed Force Heaven with his mother. Unfortunately, the serene scene quickly evolved into a nightmare as it became increasingly clear that it was Speed Force Hell. Under the trappings of Paradox’s terrifying illusion, Barry realized that his life force was being sucked out of him. Taking metal parts from Paradox’s technology, Barry creates a Flash outfit that looks eerily similar to Ezra Miller’s suit.
The suit in the comics doesn’t look as polished or well-planned as the one worn by Ezra Miller in Justice League as it was made on the fly. The distinctive red look that The Flash is synonymous with is heavily muted in the comic rendition of the Justice League look. The brand new look in the comics is certainly a different take on the character but it’s hard to imagine that the suit worn by Ezra Miller will continue to influence the visual medium.
